Keep an eye on Lane 1-I've learned that filming your kid in athletic events is difficult, you want to watch, film and cheer at the same time. Last year, I filmed the wrong kid for half of the race.

For our 21st Anniversary we went to Palm Desert and Palm Springs-all by ourselves. Here is a snippet of a video of our hike on top Mt. Jacinto. It was incredibly and surprisingly, gorgeous. We are going back to do more hiking.

...sometime this week, I'll have a video posted of our recent hiking trip in Palm Springs. Stay tuned...
Drew, Dana and me took a trip from Pt. Mugu to Zuma beach and returned home via Kanan Rd. On the way down the coast, we stopped where ever we wanted to and filmed. Here are the results.

For those of you who haven't heard, mom and dad are done with the lip sync videos for the time being. Meanwhile, Jules' horseriding skills continue to improve. She is riding with the California Rangers, a non-profit group that rides old school calvary style and encourages teamwork and military style authoritative hierachy (I like the sounds of that).
Here is a clip from her most recent show-she rode in different parts of the show and because she is still new in her skills, she did not ride in the main show. As you'll see in the background, other troops are watching; these troops compete against each other.

Enough said...roll the tape: While hiking and coincidentally having Julie Andrews on her shuffle and of course, me with camera in hand, Kim could not help but break out into singing in the beautiful, lush, dry hills of Long Canyon...

So, I had a little time at work to pull off a Jerry Lewis classic, "The Typewriter" from the movie "Who's minding the store?"

Recently, we visited mom with dinner. Watch as I let my mom hear some music that my dad suggested for me to play for her. This is a longer video than normal-but watch as my mom reflects, sings and whistles. Click on the blue arrow until it prompts you for a password. The password is ahoopslife.
We made a trip recently to the LA Zoo with Jules' Ranger troop (horses). Of course, a video follows. It had been a while since I have been to the zoo. Drew expected all the animals to be in big metal cages scattered about. He was pleasantly surprised. It appears that the zoo is under refurb. while some displays seem pretty old.
